Acquisition are personnel trained in acquiring the rights to intellectual property. They work with a Scientific Studies Service - Librarian for new items. They ensure that the Scientific Studies Service (SSS) has the legal right to own copies of information. Acquisition personnel also check on the status of agreements, to ensure that any legal contractual agreements do not lapse. They are also responsible for protecting any intellectual property created by the SSS.
