In the latter part of YE 31, the Scientific Studies Service (SSS) began establishing Reizon (Liaison) offices at Star Army of Yamatai installations with starships assigned. These are for the use of Reizon personnel assigned to SAoY starships.

Each Liaison Office has the following:

• Administration Office
• Visiting Quarters
• Conference Room
• Lecture Rooms
• Specimen Containment/Storage

This is the office where the Reizon personnel assigned to the installation are overseen. A small staff of SSS personnel run the office and maintain records.

Typically 10-20 quarters are maintained.

These quarters are kept available for Reizon personnel who are awaiting a vessel or waiting for transportation to elsewhere. They are dual-occupancy quarters with a bathroom. The main room contains two twin beds, a small desk with a chair, two lockers, and a small table with two padded chairs. The bathroom has a shower, commode, and sink.

Used for holding meetings with Reizon personnel, admin, and visitors. It features a large table that has the SSS Logo in the center, it is surrounded with padded chairs. Embedded in the table is a volumetric display use for the meetings. A small nook located off to the side contains a Coffee maker, ice-maker, microwave, mini-fridge, and a small drink bar. The floor is covered with bamboo wood flooring.

These are small briefing rooms with seats for 20-30 persons. The floor is sloped so that those in back can see over those in front. It is used when the SSS needs to brief Liaison personnel or Star Army of Yamatai personnel.

This is a controlled access area, where specimens and samples are stored for shipment to one of the Scientific Studies Service (SSS) laboratory facilities. It is treated as a quarantine area and all personnel entering or leaving must go through decontamination.

All living specimens are kept in an environmentally isolated and controlled area.
