The Kikyō Scouts Tartan is a woven, checked pattern using colors emblematic of the Yamatai Star Empire and the Star Army of Yamatai. It is used by the Kikyō Scouts in certain uniform patterns, accessories, and licensed merchandise.

Use of a Tartan pattern has been a tradition in the Scouting movement since its earliest origins on the Human homeworld, long before the Black Claw Star Empire spread Humankind throughout the Kagami Galaxy. Even though the origins and meanings behind the pattern may have been lost, the tradition of having the pattern in colors important to the scouting organization has remained. When the Kikyō Scouts were formed, colors meaningful to the Yamatai Star Empire and the Star Army of Yamatai were chosen.

The Kikyō Scouts Tartan is four color bands of Maroon, Star Army Regal Blue, Star Army Cadet Blue and Periwinkle in a 5:10:4:2 ratio.
