Arinobu “Able” Sutoraikā is a player character played by KingTyrant.

Able is a 6'0 tall humanoid android, with a subtly toned figure and snow white skin. His hair takes on the same color, cut rather short and practically always a mess. His shoulders aren't especially wide, his frame agile, rather than bulky. He has no noticeable facial hair, his face narrow, with noticeably thin lips. His eyes are constantly narrowed, both of which glow blue and show off the inner workings of each, due to an manufacturing error. He wears a standard Type 31 Star Army Working Uniform while not in flight, and a Type 32 Star Army Aerospace Flight Suit while in flight. Whatever attire he's donning, he keeps a grey bandana tied around his arm, usually as a good luck charm. Typically, he wears black shades to hide his eyes from any that he might frighten with them. He speaks with a calm demeanor, his voice somewhat deep and usually spoken in just above a whisper, a slight mechanical edge to it.

Unlike most of his kind, Able will actively challenge authority if he is presented with an order he finds illogical, or flawed. However, he is generally respectful, and will follow most orders that he sees as acceptable. He is prone to acting on impulse, not thinking out his actions before doing them. This is very evident in scenarios where lives are at stake, in which Able will take whatever course will save the most lives, regardless of his own safety. Other than receiving orders and cooperating with his allies, Able is rather antisocial, choosing to spend his time alone, rather than with others. In his mind, his fighter is the only companionship he needs.

Arinobu “Able” Sutoraikā was born in YE 34.

Able was built in the summer of YE 34 on Planet Yamatai in the capital city of Kyoto, being given the original name of, 'Arinobu Sutoraikā' and was assigned to the city as a transport pilot for civilians. Originally non-sentient, he carried out his operations without complaint, and was arguably one of the best pilots in the city, far outdoing some of his non-android counterparts.

However, after a flight incident in YE 36 which nearly resulted in the deaths of Arinobu and all passengers aboard, there was a malfunction in his damaged AI systems, which caused a sudden system upgrade and gave him sentience. It was from then on that Arinobu refused to answer to his given name, and decided to take on the pseudonym of, 'Able.'

These changes were quickly noticed, and he was detained, not allowed on anymore flights until the malfunction was dealt with. After a string of tests, it was discovered that Able's systems had adapted his piloting capabilities to include evasive maneuvers, as well as data on how to operate starfighters such as the Ke-V9 “Nodachi” and Ke-V8 “Kawarime” models.

With this, added with the revelation that the malfunction could not be fixed, it was decided that Able would find better use as a fighter pilot than anywhere else. He was sent off to be evaluated by the Star Army of Yamatai in YE 37, in which Able did not protest. After his training had been concluded, Able was assigned to the YSS Imperator as a fighter pilot.

Shortly after the Imperator's decommission, Able was transferred to the Kaiyō II, but was asked to stay behind during the ship's long intergalactic mission to help guard Yamatai territory.

Able speaks fluent Yamataigo, Trade, Seraphim, and Abwheran. The reason for his extensive knowledge in language most likely has to do with his original job as a transport pilot. With so many passengers from so many walks of life, there are bound to be a multitude of different tongues. He is also capable of radio transmission through power armor, headsets, and within aerospace craft.

Able has basic knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, as well as knowledge with energy weapons and blades, among other things. He has trained in low, to zero-gravity environments, and has been thoroughly trained in the usage of power armor, as well.

Able has knowledge with computer systems of all kind, not just from programming, but from Star Army training as well, in which he was taught the ins and outs of the Kessaku OS system. He is proficient in entering and searching for information, as well as navigating the layout of the system itself.

Able is well-educated in all forms of mathematics, both from basic programming and training in the Star Army of Yamatai. He is an expert in fields ranging from basic Algebra and Geometry, to advanced subjects such as Calculus and Trigonometry.

As a fighter pilot, Able's coordination and aerial maneuvers are superb, and he is able to operate numerous models of aerospace craft without issue. He is an excellent navigator, and his aim with weapons provided on these vessels are unmatched. He is also decent with astrometrics.

Able's data banks hold a vast array of knowledge on different cultures, history, law, commerce, and so on. Most of this knowledge is Yamatai-specific, but he does hold knowledge on other faction as well. While his data is very large, it is also limited. However, his ever-growing AI is capable of learning much more.
