Physical Description

Kuraqazu stands at a normal seven feet for a Silanbar, with a sleek and androgynous silhouette. His scales are a mix of grey and grey-blue, with a darker underside. Amber eyes peer out from a long, triangular snout, and he sports a singular round horn at the end of his nose, along with an additional pair on the back of his head. His long neck and tail give him a serpentine appearance, and his webbed hands and feet are equipped with barbed talons often filed to round points. Despite his imposing stature to most other speices, there's an air of awkwardness in his land gait. Kuraqazu's attire consists of ragged and rag-tag garments made himself scavenged from various sources such as a metal doughboy helmet1) with a flashlight tapped to it, “boots” tied to the bottom of his feet, A rubber hose turned necklace from which several different sized sockets and fuses hand from, and a handy vest made from various fabrics of which an odd and unequal amount of pockets and loops are addorned with various bits and bobs crammed inside or otherwise attached with tape.

Personality

Kuraqazu, known affectionately as “Whiz,” is a cunning inventor of the Silanbar. His motivations revolve around technological innovation and the pursuit of knowledge. He is pragmatic and disloyal, trusting only what he witnesses personally. Despite his odd demeanor, he values personal cunning, power, intelligence, and voracity in others. Kuraqazu has a penchant for being unnecessarily loud to get his points across and shows obsessive hoarder tendencies to collect every bit of scrap or piece of trash he comes across to work on his“Inventions”.

History

Kuraqazu “Whiz” Zalakk was born on Skorlamech in YE 28 Uplifted by the Kuvexians from a primitive state, he initially served as a tribalistic bodyguard within Kuvexian territory. However, driven by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and technological advancement, Kuraqazu chose the path of a nomadic inventor.

During the time when the Silanbar served as warrior-thralls within Kuvexian territory, Kuraqazu found himself fascinated by the advanced technology wielded by the Kuvexians. His obsession with these technological wonders led him to observe, steal, and eventually attempt to recreate to various degrees of failute the intricate devices he witnessed. Unfortunately, lacking proper education and guidance, his attempts were often destructive and inefficient.

In his pursuit of understanding, Kuraqazu frequently scavenged abandoned technology from the economic space stations within the Kuvexian territory. These salvaged components became the building blocks for his experiments. Without a grounding in proper engineering principles, he learned through trial and error, often resulting in explosions, malfunctions, and unintended consequences.

His unorthodox methods drew both admiration and concern from his Silanbar peers. While some saw him as a visionary, capable of manipulating technology in ways no one else dared, others viewed him as a reckless troublemaker. Kuraqazu's reputation as a disruptor grew, and his nomadic tendencies led him to explore the fringes of society, away from the strict structures of clan life.

The transition from a tribalistic bodyguard to a nomadic inventor further fueled Kuraqazu's quest for knowledge. He encountered various alien races, observed their technologies, and integrated them into his own chaotic understanding. His interactions with independent travelers and fringe societies exposed him to a diverse array of ideas, but his unconventional approach to technology often clashed with more disciplined engineers.

Kuraqazu's inventions were, in a sense, reflections of his own chaotic thought processes—functional but unpredictable. His makeshift gadgets, while capable of achieving their intended purposes, tended to cause collateral damage and raised eyebrows among those familiar with standard engineering practices.

Despite the destructive nature of his inventions, Kuraqazu's knack for problem-solving and sheer resourcefulness made him a sought-after figure in certain circles. Criminal organizations, attracted to his unique talents, enlisted him for various tasks, further cementing his reputation as an eccentric and unpredictable inventor.

As he travels the stars, Kuraqazu Zalakk continues to blend his Silanbar heritage with the mishmash of technological influences he has encountered. His creations may lack the finesse of professionally engineered devices, but they possess a raw and unbridled energy that sets them apart—much like the inventor himself.

Kuraqazu “Cogwhiz” Zalakk's journey took an unexpected turn when he was traded to a Kuevxian Mercenary company known as the Immortals as fodder and servantry where he would often polish powered armor, clean weaponry, and move large equipment where he could observe and tinker first hand on broken technology he was tasked with scrapping but otherwise hoarded. As they entered the Kikyo Sector, the Silanbar inventor found himself near-abandoned when the Kuvexian campaign fell apart after the battle of glimmergold. Tagging along with other stragglers Whiz was eventually abandonded even by them to start his own way in a new sector full of new technologies and opertunities.

Language and Communication

Whiz can speak the language of the Silanbar. He can understand the language of the Kuvexian masters and can understand partly the lesser races to an extent such as Yamataigo or Trade so long as there are few syllables and if reading that there are pictures present. He can speak to a very small extent these languages in a guttural-chirping husk
