Ulla Kilie is a player character

played by Dani and is currently involved

in the NSS Arcadia roleplay plot.

Height: 6'0 Mass: ~160lb Measurements: 36A-25-38 Build and Skin Color: Ulla has a muscular, “unfeminine”

build with broad shoulders and thick limbs. Her skin is

lightly tanned.

Eyes and Facial Features: Her eyes are dark brown and

slightly sunken, her face is soft with little of her bone

structure showing but the expression she wears is hard.

Hair Colour and Style: Blonde and shaved down to 3mm on a

weekly basis.

Distinguishing Features: Ulla is heavily tattooed: she

has the flag of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia on her

right shoulder; a cluster of seven stars, two red and five

black each symbolising a dead/missing friend or family

member, on her left wrist; a mobius design around her right

bicep; a cigar smoking skull in an SMDION Marine Corp beret

on her left shoulder which is blowing smoke from its nose

that coalesces into an abstract pattern which goes on to

midway along the bicep; the aethersperm insignia on the back

of her neck and a hand giving the finger on her lower back.

She also has bionic replacements for half her lower jaw and

the middle & index fingers of her right hand.

Personality: Ulla is short tempered, crude and slightly

dull witted but also loyal, trustworthy and brave. She

strives to be the “perfect soldier”, willing and able to do

what is asked of her for the army; partially because the

qualities of the perfect soldier are something she finds

personally admirable and partially because she fears failing

at her chosen vocation and returning to her distinctly

unfulfilling life. Similarly she will go to the wall for

those she considers friends because this is something she

expects of others and because it is something she is

terrified no one will do for her.

Likes: Fighting, drinking, smoking, loud music, general

sociability and rowdiness. Dislikes: Prudishness, losing (fights, games, anything

at all), laziness, disloyal/unpatriotic attitudes and

cowardice. Goals: currently only wishes for adventure, money and

perhaps a senior rank.

Mother: Kell “Mama” Kilie (Missing, presumed dead).

Father: Mark Kilie (43). Currently a Syndicate enforcer.

Brother: Jakob Kilie (27). Works with father.

Brother: Dave Kilie. (Dead - accidentally overdosed at age

17)

Engineer corps.

Ulla was born amongst the poor and desperate of Nepleslian

society in the slums around Funky City. Her childhood was

one of struggle and bleakness and set her up for her

adolescence as a criminal. She spent most of her teenage

years in the family businesses of petty crime at the behest

of larger groups (such as the red and black syndicates).

When she grew up little improved for her, she had few

prospects but the street and few skills but violence. It was

because of this that she enlisted with the marine corps, a

decision she feels has improved her life no end despite

shattering her jaw and losing two fingers as a consequence

of her training. She is now engaged in her first tour of

active duty.

Like all members of the SMDION Ulla is capable of basic

signalling and radio operation as wells as being fluent in

Nepleslian spoken and written. While she is trained to a

satisfactory standard she is has no outstanding

communication abilities.

Her training regime served to augment her already

respectable hand-to-hand fighting talent as well as teach

her how to use pistols of all types, knives, grenades (and

other forms of explosive weaponry) and rifles of all kinds.

She is especially skilled with rifles, achieving remarkable

levels of marksmanship.

Also thanks to her training she is in excellent physical

shape and has considerable endurance. She is also able to

pilot land-based power armours, but must rely on the suit’s

A.I. to do anything advanced.

In addition to her training which allows her knowledge on

how to survive in hostile environments; the ability to build

shelters; hunt and forage for food; build a fire; camouflage

herself effectively and a familiarity with guerilla warfare

tactics Ulla also has a natural instinct for survival in

urban environs.

She can understand and give out tactical commands and work

with her troop to follow those commands efficiently. She

knows the importance of teamwork on the battlefield, has

been intensively trained in discipline and morale and is

able to recognize the command structure even while under

extreme pressure (combat, etc). She is able to recognize

ambush points. She knows basic maths in order to calculate

distances, etc, and can use a tactical map.

Thanks to additional training within the SMDION Sulla can

identify, manufacture, handle and dispose of most

explosives. With the proper tools, she can detect and disarm

enemy explosives as well.

Growing up as she did Ulla has a good instinct for shady

business. She knows how to spot the best person from whom to

acquire drugs, open all but the most secure of locks,

circumvent basic electronic security systems, become almost

invisible in crowds, walk softly enough as not to be heard,

run a few basic cons and lift hand-portable objects from

unsuspecting marks.

Ulla can play the bass guitar with enthusiasm and a modicum

of skill; sing without causing people to cover their ears;

tell a good, if somewhat ribald, story or joke if the mood

strikes her; produce and drinks some truly brain damaging,

breath taking cocktails; and has certainly seen diagrams of

what good sexual technique is.
