Kevin McClain weighs in at approximately 174 pounds and measures about six feet in height. He sports an average Nepleslian body; with deep sapphire-blue eyes, jet-black hair, and pale skin. While Kevin has no tattoos, he does have cybernetic eyes (regular-looking eyes at a glance, but upon closer inspection it is revealed they are indeed artificial) to help in his military duties. He wears close-shaven facial hair, often referred to as stubble, though not exactly that close-shaven. He usually smells like sweat after a good workout or fight, but otherwise has no smell in day-to-day activities unless it is a formal event, in which he wears slightly scented deodorant to give off a pleasant citrus-type smell that is barely noticeable.

Kevin is commonly seen as a pleasant person to be around, having “grown up right” thanks to his parents. He likes to crack jokes, some a little darker depending on the situation, and tries to cheer people up. He isn't exactly a social butterfly, but if he is passionate about something you'll wish he'd just shut up after a while of talking your ear off. Since he's not usually hostile, unless him or his friends are messed with, he rarely engages in conflict, but will not hesitate to throw the first punch.

Kevin McClain was born along with his sister Susan McClain on Planet Nepleslia in YE 18, leading “simple” live. At the age of 8, Kevin's parents considered moving to one of the outer worlds under Yamatain control before the secession of Nepleslia, fearing being victims of the SMX. They almost went through with it until YE 28, when Kevin and Susan were 10, when Nepleslia seceded from Yamatai, believing they had spared themselves the might of the SMX. After that Kevin continued to live on Nepleslia, witnessing the extravagant rise of crime since the Yamatain government was no longer a threat, and the new Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia seemed to have a hard time containing it. Having grew up in an area of the planet in Northern Nepleslia that was “bad”, Kevin learned some criminal aspects that he used for good, until police forces finally began restoring their power over the gangs. He had taken part of many duck-and-cover drills both in and out of school as gangs opened fire in the streets. In YE 39 he joined the NSMC and began training, graduating and being given his first assignment as a Designated Marksman while his sister, Susan, became involved in Nepleslian politics.

Kevin is skilled in using all forms of communications, both spoken and seen, and know how to speak well. He can speak most common languages.

Due to having to defend himself and his sister on Nepleslia Kevin was already familiar with hand-to-hand combat, but refined and improved his skills in training. He is able to operate any form of weapon (whether it be blade, bullet, blunt, or explosive) and is quite the shot. He is able to pilot land-based power armor, relying on the suit's Artificial Intelligence to do advanced tasks for him.

Thanks to his training, Kevin is able to survive on his own or with others in the wilderness. He is able to construct shelter, find water, use camouflage to the best of its ability, and hunt/forage for food in almost any kind of environment conducive to supporting life.

Kevin is familiar with basic commands and can understand and/or issue commands. He has keen bionic eyes and can easily identify situations in which him or his comrades can be injured or killed, unless it is a well-disguised trap.

Kevin received top marks in his marksmanship training and is an exceptional marksman. He is able to provide accurate overwatch, and if he has a good view of the battlefield, is able to provide accurate and timely reports that his team needs to know of, and is able to eliminate enemies quickly with his rifle(s).

Like all soldiers, Kevin received basic first aid training and is able to patch up minor injuries; such as cuts, burns (heat and chemical), and perform CPR. He is not able to perform major surgery or other large operations, though he could be talked through it if he needed to.

Being proficient in aiming is one thing, being a sniper is different. Kevin is able to compensate for his shots and use the long-range weapons available to him. He has been awarded the “Sniper” designation and badge, and is able to kill most enemies in one shot
