Justus was one of the older orphans of the destruction of Taiie in YE 29. He was not yet considered an adult by the star army of yamatai and he had no where else to go, so Belinda Blake took the boy and several others into her care and gave them guidance and something of a family. When the Mayer Station incident occurred in YE 32, he was trapped with the crew of the ucs_zenpyou and the other survivors for 2 years before they were rescued by the YSS Aeon crew. Deeply effected by the horrors they faced on Mayer with the infection and the invasion and inspired by the actions of medic, mason alice, he was motivated to enlist in the star army of yamatai in YE 35 when he was old enough.

His time in boot camp with the Star Army Emergency Services was unremarkable and he returned to the 10th Fleet and Leo station where he served as a member of the station's security forces, as the on-call EMS from YE 35 to the present.

He admired Stacy Fleming from afar and when they returned home to leo , the Shosa was traumatized by the events that occurred on Mayer Station. He took the time to help Fleming recover from the events and eventually, became an active part of the man's life. They started dating in Ye 37 and married in late YE 38 by Chujo mitsuya Ember.
