YE 37

YE 37 is the previous in-character Yamataian Calendar year. It began on January 1, 2015 and ended December 31st, 2015. It takes place three years after the end of the destructive Second Mishhuvurthyar War and follows last year's formation of a military alliance between Yamatai, Nepleslia, and Lor.

The following occurred in YE 37:

Yamatai Star Empire

• Yamatai remains at war with the Independent Worlds League until the IWL collapses.
• Star Army Privateer Program ends.
• Freespacers access to Scrapyard System ends due to lack of participation and concerns that the ships might fall into the hands of the Independent Worlds League.
• The Star Army of Yamatai introduces the Star Army Duty Uniform, Type 30C.
• YSS Eucharis finds unknown, hostile starships depositing Rixxikor on planet Higaflan in the Higaflan star system, and that the Rixxikor had set up colonies on the breadbasket world and that their numbers were skyrocketing. Local defense forces got into a firefight with the Eucharis after it was forced to land due to damage.
• Love Day is voted into law by the Senate of Yamatai (Proposal 110). It's the first law passed in YE 37.
• The YSS Heartbreaker began its secret mission to follow the trail of Uesu's Fleet into unexplored space. An 'abandoned' Mishhuvurthyar base in UX-29 AKA UX-HB-0 'Vagabond' is destroyed by orbital bombardment to cover up evidence of experimentation on captured Neko.
• The YSS Sakura II Plot is sent on a mission to investigate strange signal emissions detected in an empty sector of space. Upon arriving, the Sakura II began its investigation and vanished without a trace.
• The YSS Sakishima is ambushed on a mission to retrieve a SAINT operative and presumed lost in battle. The surviving crew are nearly killed in a bombing attack on Leo Star Fortress, which was masterminded by their squadron commander turned traitor. The Sakishima eventually returns to port and is refit.
• Wisteria Starbase is attacked by former members of the Independent Worlds League or a splinter group of it.
• Mochizuki Shiori becomes the first elected Senator of Jiyuu since its secession and subsequent return to Yamatai. She forms the company Peacekeeper Heavy Industries in order to assist with reconstruction efforts.
• Jiyuu System becomes a new hub of the PAINT transportation system, offering the increasing amount of returning refugees flights to the core worlds of the Yugumo Cluster.
• The post-Second Mishhuvurthyar War quiet in the south is shattered as Orochi Squadron is scrambled to defend Jun mining system from a surprise attack during Yuletide celebrations by a large NMX raiding fleet.
• YSS Eucharis encounters a Rixxikor colony ship near Sbuhfaba and boards it to obtain information about a Kuvexian military base.
• YSS Sakishima encounters and investigates an unregistered fuel station in deep space, which turns out to be a hostile ambush.
• Zenjinkaze Fighting High School established.

• 1st annual Love Day
• 3 years since the end of the Second Mishhuvurthyar War.
• 4 years since Battle of Yamatai.
• 7th year in the reign of Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Himiko I of Yamatai.
• 7 years since the United Outer Colonies split from Yamatai and 4 years since its dissolution.
• 7 years since the Freespacer Massacre and Related Battles.
• 29 years since Great Plague of YE 08.

Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia

• Aquila Flight formed at Fort Sentinel on planet Fortuna, and shortly thereafter is attacked and overwhelmed. The attackers call themselves the “New Red Federation”. Fort Sentinel is destroyed and the Aquilas barely escape the ordeal.
• Nepleslian Military Rations (YE 37 Type) are introduced.
• Akemi's is founded in Nepleslian space.

• The LSDF Val'ta is launched on its maiden exploration voyage.
• The LSDF Val'ta explores Tange System and inspects Tange IV's Misato City, looking for survivors and determining whether the city can be salvaged. Along the way, they discover people (and former NMX) who have been left behind.

• A short break is taken to gather resources and work on small jobs.
• A pair of missions are undertaken simultaneously by the Phoenix team, given by the DATA Coalition:
  • The first of them has a Loud team undertaking a search-and-destroy mission of a Lagrange facility. During the mission, the facility breaks open and a prototype machine made for destroying Sourcians rampaged against the team, killing(?) Rebeka Renata and heavily wounding the Loud team and breaking assets.
  • The second mission has a Quiet team attempting to extract a pair of Yamataian senators from a hotel in Albini. During the infiltration, strange rock creatures attack the hotel. The extraction turns into a rescue mission. The two senators, Yotsuyuki Kuu and Senator A. Winsbury are extracted safely and taken into custody for questioning over the Handler's Reach incident a couple of years back.
• The fallout of the two missions is disastrous. It has two effects:
  • The actions of Aiesu Kalopsia's construct on the Phoenix are blamed for the death of Rebeka, and Echelon jailbreaks Aiesu to cut them off from the Lazarus Consortium. Meanwhile, Luca formally severs working ties with the Consortium.
  • John funds and creates the Phoenix Service Group, formally opening its doors late in the year after assembling everything required. Luca makes his maiden speech to the newly assembled soldiers.

• Second year of the Defense Arrangement Treaty (of the) Alliance of Signatory States (YSE, DION, LM)
• The Independent Worlds League is disbanded.

• Launch of the OIF Salvation, Origin's first ever dedicated Search and Rescue Ship.

• The YE 35 HSC - YSE Treaty alliance enters its third year.
• The WAP Yome Ismâopate (Searching Hawk) Plot searches for the ship that attacked the Âmuso Ibâka.
• Wotanu Abokatinka Poku Niomobekâi (Uniforms) is determined.
• The Poku Saeruo Degonjo contacts the Kingdom of Neshaten and forms an alliance YE 37 HSC - KON Treaty.

• First contact made with the Poku Saeruo Degonjo and Yamatai Star Empire
• Neshaten Scientists make a breakthrough in energy crystal study, allowing them to redesign starship and power plant reactors to generate more power and require less space.
• The Neshaten send recon units into a Nebula located to the galactic east of their borders, contact is lost shortly after.
