The Binary Blood War is the most recent conflict in Tsumi history that the Tsumi consider a proper war. It was between the Saweyan Church and the rest of the Tsumi.

The Binary Blood War was a war of attrition. The Saweyan church wished to gain total domination over their home planet and began organizing large extinction events to cleanse the blood and assert dominion over the governing force. The war was filled with suffering, and significant losses for both sides occurred due to the lack of treaties or laws of war. Strategic masterminds and heroes rose on both sides during this dark period, mostly people that sought to lead their side to Saweya's light and drown the rest in total darkness.

Death squads were deployed during various purgings, leading to mass casualty rates, leading to a massive decline in the total population. In the end, the Saweyan church emerged victoriously and became the dominant force on the planet, due to the fact the Saweyan pantheon's followers were the only ones left.
