Placed into orbit around Gefahr in the After Conflict Era by the Verdienstorden, the Quarantine Outpost was originally a domed facility on the asteroids surface with primitive Mass-Driver Engines strapped to the opposite side. In the event that Quarantine on Gefahr were to ever be broken or the native inhabitants gain space travel, the Asteroid was designed to be propelled into the planetary surface to create an extinction event.

The Mass-Driver Engines have long since been removed as Quarantine Outpost was transformed into a Frontier Asteroid Base and the call for genocide has long since faded. Instead, Quarantine Outpost's task is to eliminate any advanced vessel that lands or crashes upon Gefahr. Any personnel from that vessel are to be rescued if they have not made contact with the native inhabitants. Otherwise, they are to be marooned on the planet.
