Teryan

Often called the Plaguestar, the homeworld of the Tsumi, Teryan used to be a hospitable planet. With a hot, arid temperature and very dry ground. Flourishing from the mineral-rich ground it once possessed.

Now, the planet is a writhing mass of plagued flesh. Infected by bio-chemical warfare, a strain mutated and lead to a massive extinction event, detailed in the ascendance.

Star

The star Teryan revolves around was a red supergiant. Predicted to go supernova within a millenia, which caused the Tsumi to begin researching spacefaring abilities.

Environment

The Teryan environment used to be hot and arid, featuring great tundras and wastelands. However, there were a lot of underground water deposits, enough to sustain te Tsumi way of life. Though farming was mostly done with the assistance of hydroponics, earlier Tsumi made do with more meat and tougher, more fiber-rich plants. After the grief battle, planet has been completely terraformed and features a unique climate of poisenous, caustic rain almost 24/7. While the corrosive properties are off-set by the mutated growth, this rain is infected with the HVI strain and will infect anyone who is exposed.

Cities

Teryan used to have large and majestic cities, it was the pinnacle of Tsumi evolution and society. Against the backdrop were compounds of various wealth. Ranging from slave-compounds that mined the mineral-rich grounds and mountains to rich cities, who varied in their purpose. Some were purely militaristic and designed on producing trained soldiers, others were cities of cultures and tourism. Though now, nothing but shattered ruins remain. Slowly being assimilated into the Plaguestar itself.

Population

Once hosting over 20 billion Tsumi, the Plaguestar now has no population. All life has been consumed and assimilated. There is only the massive flesh growth that devours everything. Even synthetically produced materials, such as plastic, are assimilated and broken down. Anyone unwise enough to come close to the Plaguestar would be killed and assimilated. Even entire ships can be pulled in by the massive tendrils that reach into space.
