A dedicated room for a ship or stations shield generator, the room handles everything related to the component of the ship. A shield generator sits in the center of the room, encased in a triple pane of glass, with containment force fields surrounding that glass to protect workers in the room from potential explosions.

The bay is circular with at least one terminal to monitor the generator and its functions, all of these functions can be transferred to another terminal so that crews - such as those on the bridge - can more easily monitor the system. The door is made out of a thing layer of titanium that slides upward and down, the walls are layered and made out of a composite polymer material. There are lights in the floor and some in the ceiling.

Traditionally, the shield room is located right next to an Engineering Bay and can only be accessed by officers or Engineers.
