Administering the colony of Oase, the Oase Planetary Government can best be described as a Federation of City-States more than anything. According to the Colony Charter, each City is considered equal in political authority no matter the size. Typically, a city is run by a Prime Minister, who runs the City Legislature.

Each City-State selects a representative from its Legislature to represent them in a Yearly (Abwehran Time) meeting called the Planetary Union. This meeting is essential to the planet's solidarity as well as electing a representative to the Schongebiet System Government.

Each City has a Legislature of 20 Ministers, one of which is chosen from their numbers to be the Prime Minister. A Minister is popularly elected from the city they reside and runs for a single term of two Abwehran years (8 standard years). The Prime Minister is chosen from this group by the other Ministers and then must receive a 70% approval rating on a city-wide poll. A Prime Minister must be chosen every year.

Responsible for making sure the laws of each city coincide with the Imperial Constitution of the Abwehran Star Empire, the City Judiciary is comprised of a Triumvirate of High Judges. Each Judge is appointed by the City Legislature and stays in office for four Abwehran years (16 standard years).
