Beetle Extreme Duty

The Beetle Extreme Duty is the ultimate versatile duty vehicle. With its rugged and durable design, it can be configured for a variety of uses, including medical, law enforcement, fire, and wilderness/hazardous rescue operations.

About the Beetle Extreme Duty

The Beetle Extreme Duty is a highly versatile vehicle that can be configured for a variety of functions and roles. Some of its primary functions and roles include:

Emergency Medical Services: The Beetle can be outfitted with a variety of medical equipment, including trauma suites, oxygen tanks, defibrillators, and stretchers, making it ideal for transporting patients to and from the hospital or providing emergency medical care at the scene of an accident or disaster.

Law Enforcement: The Beetle's rugged and durable design, along with its all-terrain capability and customizable interior, makes it an ideal choice for law enforcement agencies. It can be configured with equipment such as communications systems, gun racks, detainee cells, and search lights for use in pursuit, off-road patrols or surveillance.

Fire Fighting: The Beetle can be outfitted with high capacity water tanks, as well as water cannons and pumps to assist in fire-fighting operations. It can reach remote locations that other fire trucks can't, useful in wilderness fire-fighting efforts.

Wilderness Rescue: The Beetle's all-terrain capability, large cargo space, and advanced communication and navigation systems make it ideal for wilderness rescue operations. It can navigate rough terrain, transport rescue equipment and personnel, and coordinate rescue efforts. Especially in hard-to-reach or remote areas. It can also be fitted with structural lift points for aerial extractions.

Key Features

Some key features of the Beetle include:

All-terrain capability: With large off-road tires and a powerful 4×4 drivetrain, the Beetle can navigate through any terrain, making it ideal for wilderness rescue or off-road law enforcement operations. A Repulsor system also allows a limited hover ability, six to eight feet above ground for up to sixty minutes. The repulsor array need to be re-aligned after sixty minutes, this takes roughly two hours.

Customizable interior: The Beetle's interior can be easily configured to suit a variety of needs. It can be outfitted with medical equipment for emergency response, or with law enforcement equipment such as a communications system and gun racks.

Advanced communication and navigation systems: The Beetle is equipped with state-of-the-art communication and navigation systems, allowing first responders and rescue teams to stay connected and coordinate their efforts effectively.

High-strength, lightweight body: The Beetle is constructed from advanced composite materials, making it lightweight but also extremely strong and durable. This also makes it suitable for high-speed chase or pursuit of suspects.

Climate control: The Beetle's climate control system is designed to keep the occupants comfortable in extreme heat or cold, perfect for harsh outdoor conditions. The climate control system may also over or under pressure the cabin as the need arises.

Large cargo space: The Beetle has ample cargo space, making it ideal for transporting equipment and supplies to and from the scene of an emergency or wilderness rescue operation. Or can be converted to passenger space, allowing for four to eight passengers depending on configuration.

History

In late YE 44, Davey Boone Outdoor Solutions, a company specializing in outdoor equipment and vehicles, began researching the possibility of creating a versatile and rugged duty vehicle that could be configured for a variety of uses, including medical, law enforcement, fire, and wilderness rescue operations. The team conducted extensive testing and made several design modifications to make the Beetle as durable and capable as possible. In YE 45, the Beetle successfully completed rigorous testing and was approved for production.

Appearance

The Beetle Extreme Duty always features a bulbous cockpit at the front of the vehicle and slightly elevated to provide the best view for the pilot. To the rear of the cockpit is a cargo or passenger area. This space is modular and may be changed out for a variety of different taskings and roles. The vehicle has four all terrain tires that are self inflating. Between the two axels are two repulsor cylinders that allows the Beetle to hover six to eight feet above ground level.
