Developed in early YE 36 by Nepleslian Arms and Munitions for the NAM Terratech Heavy Assault Armorsuit - "Devastator", the Chatterbox is a new communications system designed for use by Nepleslian vehicles and power armor.

Like all Nepleslian systems, it has a powerful encrypted radio capability, laser transmission and loudspeakers. It features enhanced networking from the previous versions, allowing the user to better filter and select channels.

New features include the ability to play digital music stored in the armor's memory as well as the ability to plug an auxiliary cable into the suit so that external speakers can be used to play music stored within. This last was a suggestion by the 4th Marines, who wanted to play loud rock music from speakers mounted on their armors.

The array is also more powerful than previous versions, allowing it to work through jamming with greater success.
