Mâqisumanâ'ka (Greater Forge)

Greater forge was the second settlement created by the Poku Saeruo Degonjo on Âmuar (Dream) in 754 CY (YE 35).

About Mâqisumanâ'ka

Due to the condition of the planet when the clan came to claim it, the macro-engineers decided that the facility had to be an industrial facility. The settlement is built into solid rock, carve into a small butte. Mâhoa Âdor (Sky Harbor) was placed in the upper levels with lowering pads to make loading and unloading in the turbulent weather easier.

The settlement is some 5 kilometers wide and deep the height of the settlement is 1 kilometer. The cliff face side is covered in massive panels of Mâqitua'tomin (Transparent Light Metal) which allow sunlight to enter when it is available.

A farm was established a few months after the excavation of the settlement began, it is outside of the cliff wall and is 1 km x 1km in size. It is currently enclosed to keep out the dust storms.

Purpose

Mâqisumanâ'ka was initially set up as a material processing center. It will help provide construction materials from salvaged material left from the destruction of the NMX presence and from the stone removed for the settlement.

History

In the fifth month of 754 CY (YE 35) the Wunyaka Vonai (Ark) Âmuar (Dream) left the Sotâka Ruomâqi (World Station). It landed in front of the construction site and will serve as the control center for colonization.

In 759 CY (YE 40) the macro-engineers started the process to make the planet more hospitable to the Vonai (People). Massive Ânamus norjopa (Recycler) have been constructed and activated. They will remove the heavy particulates from the atmosphere and convert some of it to atmosphere components and other materials to help revitalize the soil.
