Yamataigo (邪馬台語 in kanji characters) is one of two official languages of the Yamatai Star Empire (the other being Trade). Yamataigo is equivalent to the real-world Japanese language, 日本語.

Yamataigo is a subject–object–verb language.

Yamataigo is spoken by most:

• Most citizens of the Yamatai Star Empire, especially
  • People who live on Planet Yamatai.
  • Soldiers of the Star Army of Yamatai (See: Star Army Glossary)
• Jiyuuians of the former United Outer Colonies, where it was the official language
• Poku Saeruo Degonjo diplomatic personnel, and starship commanders

The appearance of Japanese language in Star Army is a result of the influence of anime media and is not intended to represent real-life Japan or its people.
