Physical fitness is an important aspect in the life of military personnel. Because of this, all warships have gymnasiums to provide their crews with a place to work out. The standard layout of a Gym is a two floor set up with a track for jogging on the second floor and the main exercise area on the bottom floor. The second floor is open in the center with the track spanning from the walls of the gym to extending 4 meters towards the center.

For Gyms on small warships, the main exercise area contains a variety of weight-lifting machines that can be folded up and stored in shelves. Since space needs to be managed on a small warship, mats are used for sparring matches instead of an official sparring ring.

A First Aid Station is located near the entrance.
