A vertical facility that is normally located in the direct rear of the of a small warship. The Engineering Section is responsible for all of the ships vital systems. All small warships have the capacity to open a large hatch in the bottom of engineering and eject any damaged power generators in case of emergencies.

As of late AF 259 (YE 30), the Abwehran Imperial Yards is required to place Fabrication Rooms directly next to Engineering to insure parts can be made and transported with ease.
