A facility dedicated to housing a vessels shield generator(s), there is always at least two shield generator rooms in a starship.

Whenever a vessel uses a Hard Bubble Shield as its primary shield generator, there are two facilities. One is for the Hard Bubble Shield generator itself, while the other houses the Hazard Shield generator. This type of set up is normally found on civilian and escort craft.

For larger vessels such as Cruisers and above, the number of facilities could range from seven to even twenty-one or more. Most of those are to house the variety of generators for the Sectional Defense Field. These room are much larger than ones that handle a Hazard Shield or a Hard Bubble Shield due to the necessity for shock absorbing rails on Sectional Defense Field generators. Only one facility is needed to house the Hazard Shield generator.

A Abwehran Fire Suppression Locker and a First Aid Station are located near the entrance.
