Subspace Communications is a relatively new technology to the Abwehrans. Having gained the technology from CSEIA, it is weaker in power and range than those found in Nepleslia and Yamatai. The basic principle of Subspace Communications is that a transmission is sent through a tunnel formed in subspace which allows real-time communication with its destination.

On Civilian craft, the Abwehran's Subspace Communications is limited to a maximum range of 1 Light Years, which is the shortest range of the series. To boost the signal's range, transmissions from starships are often routed to a Station Subspace Communications Array. From there, it is transmitted from station to station until it reaches its destination. If a station is not in range, communication cannot be made with destinations further than its maximum range.
