The Oberstabsfeldwebel is the highest rank of Warrant Officer and has the equivalent authority of an O4 in any other branch. As a technical/specialist leader, an Oberstabsfeldwebel is normally in charge of a group of Stabsfeldwebels in a single department. This department is normally specialized in a specific field of operation such as Communications/Signals, Demolitions, etc.
