The Ge-L7-2a is a redesigned Ge-L7-1a Ekitai-Class Liquid Freighter Ship vessel meant to assist during disaster recovery operations, and it is part of the Rapid Disaster Response Service line of products.

This variant was designed during the creation of the Rapid Disaster Response Service line of products. It went into production in YE 42.

This is a variant of the Ge-L7-1a Ekitai-Class Liquid Freighter Ship. It has been preconfigured to fit the needs of the RDRS. This version of the Ekitai is configured to carry up to 2.5 billion liters of liquids. It also has Emrys Emergency Rations in the aft hold sections.

In addition to delivering potable water and food to disaster relief areas, the Ekitai can be deployed to deal with fires. Its payload of liquids can be sprayed out by nozzles to fight fires, or it can be dumped in one large mass or in small amounts into an area in an emergency.

Like the Ge-L7-1a, after which the Ge-L7-2a was designed, the Ekitai has two manned sections in the forward and aft. The fore section is shaped vaguely like a tear-drop. Four long ovoid structures run from the fore section to the aft, mounted to four braces which connect the fore and aft sections. The ovoid structures are the liquid tanks. The aft section of the ship has two wings on either side, with two turbo-plasma drives attached to each wing.
