The Rokheus & Surma Heavy Shotgun, or HSG, is a heavy shotgun developed and sold by Rokheus & Surma Equipment and Logistics Support

Aware that there was a lack of “appropriate” sidearms for the ID-SOL of Nepleslia, Rokheus & Surma decided to appeal to this relatively untapped market with the development of a heavy shotgun capable of rapidly delivering 6 Gauge 4 inch long projectiles in various configurations. Of course, sales are not restricted to only ID-SOL, as any individual of significant mental fortitude and will may utilize this formidable firearm.

Made up of Durandium Alloy machined from a solid forging and heat treated, the HSG follows in Rokheus & Surma's design philosophy of building extremely heavy firearms relative to their competitors, weighing in at nearly 14 lbs unloaded.

To offer a shotgun of unquestioned raw firepower, Rokheus & Surma Equipment and Logistics Support elected to utilize a semi-automatic action in the HSG.

In order to ensure the various moving parts within the action do not fail under the heavy recoil of the cartridge, R&S ensured that the HSG sports oversized and heavily built internal parts, such as the firing pin, recoil spring, piston and bolt carrier group. The inside of the receiver sports internal guide rails for the bolt carrier group to travel along, reducing vertical and side to side play of the bolt group while cycling.

Semi-Automatic Gas Piston

To load, user pulls back on the charging handle, which brings the bolt back and locks it in place. User then inserts a round directly into the open action through the ejection port. Afterwards, user exerts pressure upon the bolt release, located on the right side of the gun, below the ejection port, sending the bolt forward and loading a round. Afterward, user loads individual rounds through the loading gate under the receiver, directly into the magazine tube located under the barrel.

Upon firing of the projectile, excess gasses escape through a hole in the bottom of the barrel several inches away from the chamber. These gasses enter an expansion chamber. A piston is connected directly to the bolt of the firearm, with the piston resting inside the expansion chamber. As gas enters the expansion chamber, it acts upon the face of the piston, driving it rearward along with the bolt. An ejector within the firearm ejects the spent cartridge. Upon reaching its rearward movement, the bolt comes into contact with a spring system that forces it forward again. The forward movement of the bolt trips a mechanism within the shotgun that loads another round in line with the forward moving bolt, which guides it into the chamber and locks into battery, ready to fire.
