The Mana Orb is a self-contained gravity propulsion and manipulation system manufactured by Ken-TEC and used in several of their vehicles. It was designed to be rugged but also self-contained for easy maintenance.

When Yori Kataoka joined Ken-TEC she brought along her expertise with gravity and inertia technologies. It was decided that this technology would be a key feature in many of their smaller creations, from power armors to vehicles. However, a limiting factor with this technology was its fragility in real-world environments. Along with the prototypes she was developing, Yori was charged with designing a more compact and rugged system that would not be so prone to needing repair, but it also had to be small enough to fit on something like a Nova Airbike so that it could be used in future projects.

The project took some time, and while the final result was too large for the KT-G1-1A Construct Powered Suit and KT-M1-1B "Warlock" Powered Armor, production was completed in YE 40. The end result was a small gravity manipulation system that could be used in more rugged applications and still fit small vehicles.

The heart and namesake of the Mana Orb system is a 25cm spherical core with geometric patterns on it. Inside is a powerful processor for calculations, as well as the equipment needed to emit a gravity field. While the Mana Orb can operate on its own and control the gravity field, for fine control that a vehicle would need to have a comfortable ride, the Mana Orb can be hooked up to extra emitters and a control console to finely regulate the output of the field.

While the output relies heavily on the arrangement and tuning of emitters, a single Mana Orb has the capacity to comfortably lift a car. If more power is needed, multiple Mana Orbs can be used in the same system without interfering with each other.
