Developed in late YE 40 by Section 6 as a solution to dealing with heavily-armored opposition in the field, the HEG, or High Explosive Grenade, is similar to its predecessor but has a more focused design, as the grenade is packed with highly-volatile explosive compounds comparable to common plastic explosives instead of fragmentation - thus ensuring a large detonation capable of rending medium power armor.
