Kenji Ashigari is a former Star Army of Yamatai Taisa originally from Nepleslia. He is Kai's younger brother and a powerful telepath. He was at one time engaged to marry Ketsurui Ayame before she chose to wed Uesureyu Ketsurui. He later fled from the capital of Kyoto with Ayame's youngest daughter Ketsurui Kohana. While Kohana had left willingly, Kenji was framed for her rape and murder. He was then murdered by Ketsurui Kikyo, Ayame's other daughter who had also engineered Kohana's death.
