“Both my mum and dad were Marines, so I was raised by my gran. I'm one-fourth ID-SOL on account of my granddad, and my gran claims she can trace her roots all the way back to Ireland. Dunno if its true, but it sure makes for a good story.”

Both parents, Maria and Nathan McCallan, are recorded dead from traumatic injury in battle. Her grandfather, Flint Rustborne, was never recorded to have married, and no further information can be found about her grandmother.

“Like I said before, I was raised by my gran, at least when she wasn't working at a mental hospital. High security one too, you wouldn't believe the stories she told me, and even gave me her diaries when she passed. As for when she wasn't around, well, she didn't raise an idiot, ya know, and I was able to get along plenty fine, even the slums of Funky City. On account of everyone else aside from gran in the military, I knew that was heading there myself, and enlisted soon as possible at 16. Originally I was blazing to be a Marine, but when I got to the 'maintenance of powersuits' course, it just sorta clicked, and I ended up finishing my training specializing in engineering. Kinda wish I was in the thick of the battle more though.”
