Build and Skin Color: Gunther is a tall and muscular person thanks to the fact that his grandfather was an ID-SOL. His skin is of a caramel complexion.

Facial Features and Eye Color: Gunther has brown eyes that are more narrow than most others. Gunther has very strong facial features, with prominent cheekbones, and a pronounced forehead.

Hair Color and Style: Gunther keeps his dark brown hair short.

Distinguishing Features: Gunther's torso is reinforced to allow his body to accommodate his cybernetic arms and legs. He also has implants on his face that deploys a sunglasses like shield for his eyes.

Gunther sometimes is a soft-spoken individual when he is on the job and focused on the task. But he is known to adopt a more aggressive, loud-mouth personality when engaging in the time-honored Nepleslian tradition of pugilism.

Pre-RP

Born in YE 10, Gunther and his family lived all like most others on the streets of Nepleslia. He moved from one apartment complex to another as his parents tried to eke out an existence but never able to hold onto a job for more than a few years. Throughout this time, he looked up to his older brother for guidance.

But this gradually turned into more of a one-sided rivalry as he turned 18 due to his brother's open interest of Yamataian. He also railed him as some kind of cultural traitor, but still at this time viewed him as his brother. This changed when Gunther was 20.

Their parents dying in violent riots, he disowned his brother for failing to protect their parents as was the duty of the eldest brother. His brother's lack of desire to seek revenge on those that caused the riots only served to infuriate him even more. So in a fit of rage, Gunther ended up joining the Nepleslian Space Marine Corps.

Achieving the rank of Sergeant before leaving in YE 37, Gunther had established himself as a non-sense leader with a talent for roguish operations due to his training in demolitions. He was recruited into the IPG Hellions as he left and completed his training as a “civilian” with a codename he will never reveal to anyone.

Now an independent “fixer”, Gunther makes himself valuable by helping anyone (gangs, corporations, etc.) find and “fix” their problems in any manner of the way they wish to employ. He maintains a brothel as a side business and for the kicks of being a pimp.

In an oddity, Gunther was called up for another mission by the Imperium in YE 43.

Gunther is familiar with basic operation and procedures of radio and communications equipment and can both make and receive transmissions other DIoN military personnel through headsets, ship communications systems, ground vehicles, power armor, and shuttles both in combat and out of combat with the proper discipline and procedures necessary to make their transmission and intentions known by the receiver. He is fluent in Trade and Yamataigo. Lastly, he is able to speak and write both correctly and efficiently to a degree and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, field communications and is proficient in all rudimentary forms of communication (hand signals, flashing lights, etc).

Gunther possesses IPG training. As such he is fully trained in the Imperium’s hand-to-hand and firearms-related combat techniques. He is an exceptionally skilled marksman and hand-to-hand combat thanks to his above-average hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. He has training in all available weapons platforms large and small in the operation, maintenance, repair, and function of all DIoN issued weapons in an out of their profession from the smallest handgun to the largest of powered armor based weaponry. He is capable of creating and holding a base of fire, supporting the assault of their fellow Marines, identifying and leading targets from long distances with concentrated bursts and how to effectively combat powered armor and light vehicle platforms with their weapons.

Gunther is trained to live off the land without resupply. He can make fire, survive in the cold without fire, identify edible plants/animals and navigate with the use of electronics or maps. He is well informed of different environmental factors and how to return to friendly elements should he get separated. He also received additional survival training from his Sniper training, able to cover his tracks and remain difficult to find while surviving.

Gunther is trained to understand combined arms operations, utilizing Navy and Marine airborne assets to support their own operations. They also learn how to plan and execute various non-standard operations such as commando raids, reconnaissance, urban, jungle, desert & artic warfare as well as starship boarding operations. He is also familiar with combat tactics and the differences between power armor and light infantry operations.

Gunther is trained in the art of stealth and infiltration.

Gunther is trained to know exactly how any given bullet will perform based on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to caliber, velocity, grain, twist rate, barrel length, material, design, atmospheric conditions and so forth. The calculations they make to ensure a round hits its intended target are an almost sub-conscious process most Marine Snipers sometimes catch themselves conducting unintentionally in their down-time. Psychology also plays a key role in the art of Sniping, with the individual behind the scope needing to make decisions about the ramifications of what happens when they pull the trigger and what targets to engage first, even where the enemies might first start looking for the shooter’s position.

Gunther is highly proficient in the creation, deployment, and disarmament of explosive material.
