Allen is an athletically-built Nepleslian standing at six feet tall exactly, with brown skin (often paled slightly yellow), green eyes, and squared ears with short and straight-cut short black hair. His face's features are severe, perhaps even somewhat gaunt, and he takes pride in remaining clean-shaven. He is notably free of scars and cybernetics.

Stoic before feast and famine alike, Allen considers what others may percieve as flat affect and lack of emotion to be natural consequences of his outlook on life. He is often careful, if not outright on guard, and assumes the worst before considering the best. Far from being overcome with moroseness, he is extremely driven to prevail in spite of whatever happens around him - often to the detriment of other transitory concerns such as food and sleep. Less impressivly, he also shows an excellent talent for turning flashes of anger into the ashen cinders of a grudge.

If asked directly what his motivations are, Allen would generally state 'Survival', which makes his enrollment with the Marines a questionable choice. Even so, he has proven to be a loyal and capable soldier. Having completed his basic combat training, he has his eyes on pursuing a specialist Cavalry career.

Strangers who spend too much time with Allen might find themselves becoming bored or a little depressed, but those who know him will find he has a quick wit and a decent library of gallows humor. It's something he made an effort to pick up after deciding it would 'suit him'. Allen prefers the company of level-headed and deliberate people, but will endure working with anyone as long as they don't prove to be a complete danger to themselves and others.

He has few dedicated hobbies besides trying to pick up a passing familiarity with everything, though he does enjoy the ever popular Nepleslian pastime of gun collection. That aside he gravitates towards alone-time if given leave to seek it, and will gladly waste a weekend researching whatever topic grabbed his interest.

One of the few things that keep people from assuming Allen was cast from molten iron in a factory somewhere is his habit of coming up with silly nicknames for people who call him 'Al'.

Allen remembers little of his early life. He makes occasional allusion to a traumatic childhood, and official records identify him as a desitute orphan that entered a placement facility on Planet Neplesia around YE 29. He excelled in his basic education and entered the workforce at 16, before enrolling with the NSMC in YE 40. His background has rarely, if ever, come up in his new life as a Space Marine.

• Communication : Allen is familiar with all NMSC basic standard means of communication, both in and out of powered armor. He is fluent in Nepleslian and Trade, and has basic proficiency with Yamataigo thanks to extracurricular InterNep study.

• Fighting: Allen achieved marksman qualification through basic training, and is proficient with common power armor configurations.

• Survival: While wilderness survival was a new experience for him, Allen received passing marks in his basic survival training course while also adapting some lessons to his knowledge of urban subsistence practices.

• Strategy (Tactics/discipline): Allen was educated in the NSMC's regimen of military heirarchy, battlefield awareness and espirit de corps.

• Physical: As with most low-cybernetics Nepleslians, Allen maintains his health and physical strength with an informed diet and workout routine. He does not skip leg day.

• Rogue: Despite reticence about his upbringing and a lack of official instruction on the subject, Allen displays a clear proficiency with certain extralegal skills beyond that of the common Nepleslian streeter. Most relevantly, his patience and fluidity of motion lend themselves well to stealthy 'covert' actions.

• Vehicles: Blatantly gunning for a Cavalry specialist gig, Allen's training with all manner of atmospheric and land-bound vehicles runs wider than it does deep due to the self-taught nature of his experience in the subject.
