Yami NekoNeko is a popular children's show in Yamatai, which consists of a group of young cats and their adventures around Yamatai. The plot revolves around the young Orie and her friends as they try to find a safe place to stay.

The main antagonists of this series are the Robo-cat-catcher,whose job it is to take the cats to 'jail' (the animal pound) and the 'Evil Flying Jellyfish' which are a child-safe amalgamation of the Mishhuvurthyar, meant to teach them to fear and avoid mishhuvurthyar at all costs.

The show's purpose is to teach children morals, as well as to give them a desire to be nice to cats they find on the street, perhaps adopting them, and keeping the animals off the streets and in safe, warm homes with loving families.

The Nepleslian dub of Yami Nekoneko titled “Cat Party!” is aimed at a slightly older crowd than it's original viewing audience, as the dialogue has been retooled to include crass language and more mature themes, some of which includes satire making fun or criticizing Yamataian culture.
