Web belts have been used for thousands of years before the foundation of the Yamatai Star Empire. As such, they are widely available throughout the Kikyo Sector and beyond.

The web belt is typically olive drab or desert tan in color and has a quick-release fastener. It consists of webbing, side straps with button snaps, a male and a female fastener (together forming the buckle), two adjusting buckles and keepers, and metal eyelets and washers. It can adjusted to fit snugly in a more precise fashion than civilian belts which use spaced out holes for a buckle pin. It is thick so it does not dig into the wearer and so that pouches attached to it will stay in the correct orientation.

Web belts can be used to carry canteens or pistol holsters or may be used as part of a Combat Harness. They can also be used to secure a Traditional Flak Vest.
