The requirements were made to be effective,but also not to interfere with business.

1. Pay taxes: For a business to be considered legitimate, they must submit their annual revenue and pay proper taxes.
2. Use National Currency: The business must accept the national currency of the Abwehran Star Empire.
   • They are allowed to do business in other currencies, but the national currency must be an option for customers.
3. Transparency: The business must be accepting of audits, inquires, and inspections by regulatory committees of the Abwehran Star Empire
4. Law abiding: The business must follow other laws and regulations of the Abwehran Star Empire

As foreign companies are allowed to do business in the Abwehran Star Empire they as well have to follow a similar rule set. There are a few differences however.

1. Taxes: Foreign companies are only taxed on revenue generated by their facilities within the Abwehran Star Empire.
2. Work Force: Within a 2 years of starting operations in the Abwehran Star Empire, significant effort must be made to hire a work force that is at least 10% citizens of the Abwehran Star Empire.
3. Cooperative regulation: foreign companies are subject to the same regulatory checks as domestic companies, however they may request a joint operation from the ASE regulatory committee as well as one from their own nation.
4. All other regulations are the same.

The regulations are serious and ignoring them can result in serious trouble for a business. For unintentional and less severe infractions, fines are issued to the company. However repeated or intentional infractions may result in loss of the business license, and extreme scrutiny would be applied when reissuing it. Ultimately if the Abwehran Star Empire determines the company to be too troublesome they could be banned from doing business in Abwehran Star Empire territory.
