The Anoka Niuwuny'te is a air containment shield, used by the Poku Saeruo Degonjo as an emergency system. The current version became available in 752 CY YE 33.

The Anoka Niuwuny'te is used to create a barrier that is impermeable to atmosphere. The primary purpose of the shield is to contain atmosphere during a hull breach. The field is strong enough to keep the atmosphere contained against hard vacuum. Solid objects can pass through the shield with little resistance.

When a solid object passes through the shield in a vacuum, a hissing sound will be heard as some of the atmosphere will leak around the object.

The field can also be used to prevent the exchange of gases between two areas. Such as at an airlock or cargo door to keep a toxic atmosphere out. In this instance to ensure there is no leaking into the ship, the ship will over pressurize to slightly more than the atmospheric pressure. So that the only exchange of gasses will be outward.
