A plastic tube with a powered explosive core that is mostly used to synchronize detonations of demolition charges or usage for EOD operations. Developed in AF 260 (YE 32).

With a harmless appearance of a woven-fiber rope of white and blue, the Plasti-cord is anything but harmless. It is actually a thin plastic tube with powered explosives inside.

Plasti-cord is normally used to synchronize plastic explosives for chained detonation via either a wireless signal or a wired detonation. However, it can also be used on IEDs for EOD operations. A 3 meter length is the equivalent of 1 PDR.
