Much like the old Backenbrecher Infantry Laser, the newer 10mm Laser Cannon developed in AF 260 (YE 31) is meant to be a shoulder-mounted energy weapon for Powered Armor or a stationary energy weapon for bases. The 10mm Laser Cannon is an anti-armor/anti-personnel weapon meant to give the Abwehrans and greater punch than some of its other Powered Armor and Personnel weaponry, but has a shorter range than the 60mm Laser Turret.
