A form of detection using electromagnetic waves projected in all directions. These light speed waves continue to travel until they strike matter and then bounce off. Radar equipment is specifically designed to project and catch these waves, decipher the data, and display the results to operators. Because of this, Radar can easily be interfered with by chaff, debris, or even dust clouds. In space, Radar is mostly used in close-range navigational or search situations.

In the military, Radar is used in combat by ground forces to detect enemies and by indirect artillery for targeting. It is used in space for its usual functions as well as to aid in search and rescue for missing EVA operators.
