Defense Modules are used to defend the station. They come in three types: Shield, Missile, and Gatling. Each employ civilian versions, but by special order and with the correct paperwork they can be upgraded to military-grade hardware for only 1,000 KS more. Each module is operated from the Control Module, and the only space within them is for maintenance purposes only. This means that these modules are unmanned, and run off of programming only.

Employs the Abwehran hard_bubble_shield. Is the most energy-intensive defense module, as the Hard Bubble Shield needs to be provided more power to cover more space – for practical reasons, is always located adjacent to the Generator Module.

Comes with a dozen open tube-ports which are open to space. These can be loaded with missile munitions via an auto-loader, and fired. The munitions must be purchased separately.

• Price: 10,000 KS

Employs the gatling_laser_cannon, with no modifications. These modules are actually just connected automated turrets, and are more effective when there are many of them.
