The Wz-W4000 launcher started out as an ambitious weapon, that was reworked repeatedly. At one point the weapon was intended to allow an unarmored soldier to be a threat to power armor, to be useful as a support weapon for power armored infantry, and as a weapon designed to better exploit digital minds, electronic warfare, and advances in weapon design that haddn't quite made it to the frontline soldier yet. In the end, the weapon became a simple, easy to use launcher for the Super 40mm round.
The launcher is a fairly simple weapon intentionally designed to be similar to most conventional rifles. It has a side folding stock on the rear with a recoil dampening tube that attaches it to the main body. A simple iron sight is on top along with the projection systems for the volumetric sights inset into the weapon's top. The main grip has a fire selector on the right side with a safe, normal, and a normal+optics on option. A plunger to clear a jammed round is also on the right side though left handed models are avalible. The receiver for the ammo magazine uses up most of the length of the weapon forward of the trigger, and has a forward grip section for the second hand.
Discharge can change depending on the round type. The launcher is intended to be used with telescoping 40mm rounds, or other self-propelled rounds which means it usually doesn't even need to be cleaned after firing.
The Wz-W4000 launcher fires 40mm rounds.
Below are the weapon mechanisms:
