Located on the tip of the barrel is a capture system that absorbs any and all unspent plasma and recycles it through the onboard plasma capacitors, this helps cool the cannon better when the ship is either in an atmosphere or when its in a high-stakes defense battle but also means that the turret does not use as much power from either a ships reactor or modules generator.

Built into the upper housing of the turret is the targeting system, used both by a ships AI and also by an operator to more accurately fire the weapon. The system uses a range of different perimeters, including a laser targeting system.
