Chiaki Saori is a player character played by Orion and is currently involved in no plot.

Build and Skin Colour: Saori is small and slender, with a relatively even build. Her stature could be described as doll-like, a slightly duck-footed stance adds to this. Her complexion is creamy, colored like buttermilk.

Facial Features and Eye Colour: Saori has a face like an angel, soft-featured and desperately cute. Her lips form the oh-so-clichéd Cupid's bow, her eyes are sea-green, bright and full of childlike glee and excitement.

Hair Colour and Style: Saori has shoulder-length hair, red-gold in color and quite straight. She ties it up in a French twist when working, though she leaves it loose (it is Hime cut) when off-duty. When intoxicated, Saori has been known to gel her hair into liberty spikes as well.

Distinguishing Features: Nothing much.

Personality: Saori is a firebrand. Piss her off, and watch the explosions! She has no fear of death, no fear of pain, no fear of much of anything. She has little problem with discipline, but has been known to take grossly unreasonable risks in the face of danger, and has also been known to take grossly unreasonable risks in her day to day life. She is often overly curious, and coupled with her lack of fear and need for danger, this can be a thoroughly entertaining combination. A daredevil by nature, Saori relishes the attention of others… positive or negative. She can be the life of the party, or the thing that inevitably crashes it. Often both.

Likes: Fireworks, flying, music, louder music, thrill and danger, chocolate, CHOCOLATE MARTINIS. Dislikes: Cold, quiet, the inevitable loss of time during sleep Goals: To kick ass, take names, and possibly experience a threesome.

Saori was born a Geshrin, and went through her life as a Geshrin. She did Geshrin things and had Geshrin friends. Then the Yamatai Star Empire introduced the Yamataian body, and Saori was switched into one of those. She then did Yamataian things and had Yamataian friends, all of which were suspiciously similar to the Geshrin ones. Her life was spent in education and in psychotic daredevil displays for her friends.

At eighteen she enlisted in the Star Army. And here she is.

Saori is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Saori is fluent in Nepleslian and Yamataian. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.

Saori received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor.

Saori is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information.

Saori received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry. Saori also has basic instruction in quantum physics and dimensional theory.

This being her specialty, Saori is very good at it. She is exceptional at the helm, as much out of instinct as training, and is very good in sublight maneuvering. She has a strong capacity in astrometrics, stellar cartography, and navigation, and, in general, is a well trained and thoroughly capable operator of most any Star Army ship.

Saori fancies herself a brilliant actress and storyteller. She isn't bad by any means, but she can't share a stage to save her life. So she can give a very convincing monologue. She is also a fair singer, a sweet if slightly limited voice in the soubrette range. She uses her emotive and singing talents liberally in her storytelling, which she considers the greatest of all art forms. She is a master at creating wildly embellished and wholly fantastical stories in whole cloth. She is also a master at pretending they are fully and indisputably factual, and rarely backs down from anything she says.

Chiaki Saori is currently a Santo Hei in the Star Army of Yamatai. She receives a weekly salary of -salary- per week.
