Tuija Seppanen is a player character played by Lin and is currently involved in no plot.

Build and Skin Color: Tuija has the skin of one who comes from a long line of people that do not get enough sun. She continues this tradition, and is rather on the pale side.

Facial Features and Eye Color: Tuija has a very rounded face with wide, steel-grey eyes with soft amber slightly-glowing irises - clearly cybernetic.

Hair Color and Style: Black, very unruly, generally uncombed. A little longer than shoulder-length, though lashed back in a bun most of the time.

Distinguishing Features: A great many undisguised cybernetic enhancements - her upper torso, arms, and eyes are all replacements, and an extra pair of 'arms' - fold-out struts with a variety of useful devices - protruding from just behind her shoulders.

Personality: Tuija comes across as a very calm, contemplative woman. She likes to carefully consider all her words before she speaks, which is a bit of a liability given that she is very, very distractable. When mulling over problems and challenges, she looks to outside observers like she is in deep and meticulous concentration on the subject; internally, her train of thought tends to quite quickly jump the rails, plunge down an incline, and demolish several homes and natural gas depositories that in this metaphor represent completely different problems, before coming to rest at its destination, on its side and engulfed in flames.

This does not prevent her from being quite reasonably friendly and polite, if a little reserved.

Also, while she is intellectually aware that some people select clothing based on its appearance, she finds this very odd; her own outfits tend towards the practical, the comfortable, and the frumpy.

Likes: Machines, intellectual problems, self-improvement through surgery. Dislikes: Luddites, boredom, ignorance. Goals: Her doctorate, immortality, wealth beyond measure (Tuija firmly believes that if something is worth doing, it is worth overdoing)

Dr Aatami Ruotsalainen and Dr Hella Seppanen, both of whom are quite alive and well, and working in Funky City.

Tuija's life thus far has been mostly comfortable. Her parents, a genetic engineer and a cybernetic surgeon, provided for her fairly well, and above all else ensured that she received a fine education in the sciences. As she grew into adulthood, she also picked up on a bit of an affinity for cybernetic enhancement, and in short order replaced her eyes and ears, switched out chunks of her brain, and installed much of her toolkit in folding arms attached to a cyber-torso, several bits of which are her own design. Recently, her continued studies have ground to a halt, as she has encountered the universal problem that prevents every engineer from achieving their greatest designs: She's flat broke. Thus afflicted, she has set out to find some way of getting lots of money really quick.

Tuija speaks fluent Nepleslian and halting Yamataian and is quite thoroughly familiar with the operation of various forms of radios. While her technical writing is clear enough, her script is nigh-indecipherable.

Tuija's area of greatest expertise, she is masterful at designing and assembling small-scale electronic and mechanical items. She hasn't yet bothered learning about the fine details of such complex arrangements as space ships, but she has a particular affinity for cybernetic designs.

Tuija is reasonably competent at keeping things in repair - give her the parts and the manual, and she can work out whatever needs to be done.

Aside from first-aid procedures for the lab and the workshop, Tuija knows how to implant basic cybernetic replacements and augmentations. Note: Tuija is not a medical professional and it would likely be incredibly unwise to actually let her attempt this, no matter how confident she seems.

Because she had to, Tuija put some study into the wretchedly complex and probably useless field of Not Engineering. She is somewhat conversant in Nepleslian history and law. She can also recall quite a bit of random trivia, due in part to her mnemonic augmentations.

Tuija has a good head for numbers, and can comfortably work with many higher mathematical disciplines. Accounting is not something she ever bothered with, however, which is why she's in the situation she's in.

Tuija is familiar with civilian OSes, and makes extensive use of design and simulation software in her work.
