Neyla Realgar stands at an average 4' 8“. Her figure is very athletic with somewhat flared hips and muscular limbs. Her overall complexion can be easily described as volcanic, her natural skin color is a very dark brown, with crimson red scales running down the length of her back. The red scales are speckled with darker maroon scales, in a diamond line pattern. Her pointed face is accented with two bright orange eyes, on either side of a high-bridged nose. On universal translators, Neyla comes across with a strong nasal accent with a warm tone.

The claws on Neyla's hands are well trimmed, whereas the claws on her feet have been kept long and sharp. Due to her extensive cryostasis, her body has been preserved well despite her ancient real age.

Neyla has a warm and almost rambunctious personality. She sees her mission as being quite a larger than life deal, and gets along well with others. She enjoys telling stories while working or relaxing. She often comes across as naive or unaware, mostly due to her lack of experience with modern technology and terminology. She is also rather mannerly, when shes not going on a story, that is.

Neyla's mind is still trapped several centuries in the past. In her absence, she's remained unaware of any social, technological, or diplomatic progress or revelations in the past few centuries. She believes the Lanus Mission is extremely important to her people, despite its abandonment several hundred years prior. She is so far unaware and extremely confused by the change of times, and acts and speaks in ways that can confuse even fellow, more modern Kudhacari.

Neyla was born… several centuries ago, into a rather large Kudhacari family known as the Realgar. She spent most of her youth underground surrounded by the large mining industry her family was a part of. She spent her early days obsessing over rocks and minerals, becoming a natural geologist in her late teenage years. She did not get a good look at the nights sky into her teenage years, and she was instantly hooked.

Neyla's newfound obsession of exploring other rocks in space eventually brought her to the Cosmic Stellarists Association, which are the time had just began to thrive in chartering outer space via telescopic imaging. Working within the program for several years, the CSA eventually learned of a potentially habitable planet not too far from their home world. A crew plan was eventually assembled to take the task of exploring the planet, named the Lanus Mission.

Neyla was one of the first to answer the call to action, receiving extensive training for several years before being deemed space worthy. The mission was a one-way trip, but she didn't care. With Neyla serving as the designated geologist, the Lanus I launched without any incident. However, problems arose when the crew went to deep sleep after going on course. Everyone's cryostasis pods worked fine, except for Neyla's. Spending several days working with mission control by herself, Neyla eventually repaired her faulty pod. With the autopilot set, she went into deep, preserved sleep.

As the years ticked by, the Lanus started to drift off course, the autopilot correcting to avoid an undocumented asteroid field. Out of communication range of the Kudhacari Space Program, the Lanus I spent years, decades drifting off course. One by one, the cryostasis pods of the few members failed, the crew members awakening only to find themselves drowning in their own pods,nearly brain dead. Only the seventh pod, Neyla's repaired pod, remained functional for the trip. Over the decades, the centuries of excommunication, the Lanus Mission was eventually abandoned and forgotten by the public as times changed.

Neyla is fluent in Kudhacari languages. She is capable of giving clear directions over communicators as well

Neyla grew up in a mining family. She learned many principles and techniques of mining from them. In her young adult years, she became more interested in the science of rocks and minerals more than the actual mining of them, taking lessons in geology and natural science.

Neyla has light training in hand to hand and light arms combat. She knows personal self defense, but is not a champion fighter.

Neyla received extensive survival training prior to her voyage into space. She knows the basics of survival, orienteering, and emergency precautions for both terrestrial and spacecraft living. In addition, Neyla is capable of maneuvering in zero gravity, and has been trained to be more resilient to extreme forces of gravity.

Neyla is a fan of public speaking. She is capable of conveying emotion through speech and story telling, and enjoys doing so. She believes herself to be something larger than she is, and is appalled by those who never heard of the Lanus Mission.

Neyla has basic training in maintaining and diagnosing problems in engines and machinery. She also has experience repairing cryostasis pods.
