Adelheid is a new NPC played by Scot. She captains the HMS Remscheid.

Build and Skin Colour: Adelheid has brown skin with toned build from years of being a Marine, and actively maintains it even after she changed her career to Fleet.

Facial Features and Eye Colour: Appears to be quite moody, but can be quite pretty if she didn't seem serious and move her hair away from her face. Bright blue eyes.

Hair Colour and Style: Adelheid has short brown straight hair with a portion of her bangs covering the left eye.

Distinguishing Features: A surfacer thought it be a good idea that their training group would all get a flower tattoo on the left cheek. She also has scars on her arms and the back of her neck from the close calls of her military career.

Personality: Ahelheid is a quiet and serious person while when she is in command, speaking only to when it is necessary. While to some subordinates she acts off putting, or a jerk, however it is to her belief that to show emotion would only bring stress to an already stressed personnel. She demands strict discipline in that she expects everyone to work as hard as she would, and expects no less from people of her command.

During inaction, Adelheid is more relaxed and even shows some emotion. She does not mind speaking her mind to her people, and as she is still often quiet can take a joke farther than one would expect her to take it. She also enjoys the company of marines, and likes to tell stories of when she was a marine herself.

Adelheid Vogel was born in a family of 6 at the time, and over time she began to loath her life. Adelheid's life seemed crowded at home underground and it didn't help that the 5 that were older than her (parents included) were trying to get her to babysit the rest of the children and try to convince her to stay at home and marry into a prestigious family. While she did enjoy the company of her younger siblings, she did not like being railroaded to the job of daycare nanny.

Adelheid had joined the Weltraumflotte at the age of 5 to escape the caves of her home, only in time to join the Pirate War. Her first ship she was assigned to was destroyed in a pirate attack while escorting a merchant vessel on its first assignment. She was one of the few to survive the attack via escape pod. Her second assignment faired a little better as it survived the war, but not without great sacrifices of many soldiers she fought with, some of which she had got to know quite well.

When the Pirate War was over, she took 1 year of leave, and took this time to visit her family for a while before leaving a month later forgetting why she left for the army in the first place. After another couple of months, Adelheid then cut the rest of her leave in favor of officer training, something she felt like she had to do, and as an excuse to cut time away from the family. She then worked as an XO on a ship for 2 years after which she was recommended by the captain to receive her own vessel to take over, believing she was ready.

Vogel was the captain of a prototype ship escort equipped with drone fighters.

During an escort mission the Remscheid came face to face with an experimental model that was hijacked by pirates. They were successful in their efforts in boarding and destroying the enemy.

Adelheid is fluent in Abwehran and Trade (English), after contact with the Star Army of Yamatai, and knows the proper procedures to write reports and fill out military documents. She also know basic operations of shipboard communications systems and standard military communication equipment.

Adelheid has received training in basic close quarter combat using hand-to-hand, knife, and sword combat techniques. Her training has also included firearms training with mass-driver pistols and rifles.

Adelheid can operate shipboard computer systems efficiently and can enter/search for information. Basic operations of ship systems and skinsuits is also included in the training.

Unlike most militaries, your training requires you to learn basic calculus along with algebra and trigonometry.

Adelheid had the privilege to learn it in the middle of combat, however later she did go to an academy to learn Space Combat Tactics.

Before she could be a commander, she had to study Interstellar Politics at an academy.

She was formally a squad leader before later receiving education at an academy.
