Build and Skin Color: Mio's build is certainly what many would consider lithe, with subtle, yet feminine curves, and a slim profile. Her complexion is quite pale, almost bordering on being white, and could easily be perceived to be just that in certain light conditions.

Eyes and Facial Features: Mio possesses a pair of deep-set eyes, spaced evenly apart on her heart-shaped face. Her vaguely almond-shaped eyes are of a cold and icy shade of blue.

The structure of her jaw conforms with what most would consider 'fine boned', and lead to a chin that's smooth and nicely rounded, without sticking out too much.

Mio's facial structure is on the whole heart shaped, and holding child like qualities in some regards, yet the deep-set eyes and angled brow give lie to what innocent qualities she may have given on the outset. Her lips are thin and drawn, giving her a somewhat grim expression.

Ears: Mio's ears, unlike those of most of her batch-sisters, while in the style of the traditional Nekovalkyrja cat ears, are utterly devoid of hair or fur, making her appear more elven than feline.

Hair Color and Style: Mio's hair is snow white in colouration, and reaches down to her shoulders in lenght. However, she usually ties it back into a tight pony tail whenever she's on duty or training.

Distinguishing Features:

Personality: Mio is a living weapon, and she knows it. She knows that her body was engineered for warfare, that she was created by the Ketsurui Zaibatsu to serve in the Star Army of Yamatai, that she will kill for the Star Army, and die for the Star Army. Repeatedly.

As such, she has devoted herself to become the best weapon that she can be. Her spare time is, as a rule, devoted to training and improving her personal skills. She's always hunting that next decimal point on her marksmanship score to improve, to be a fraction faster when it comes to sparring, to field-strip, clean, and perform maintenance on her service pistol, and master more weapons and combat styles.

What little spare time that isn't devoted to personal maintenance or self-improvement is usually devoted to reading or relaxing while listening to jazz or blues.

Mio has two major fears. The first, obviously, is failure. As a living weapon, born and bred to serve, with no exceptional skills aside from the art of killing, Mio is terrified of failing in her duties, or somehow become unable to do her duties anymore.

The second, and perhaps more irrational fear, is that of insects (and arachnids). She just can't stand the creepy crawlies, with their exoskeletons, way too many legs, and even more eyes. The more legs, the worse they are.

Perhaps as a result of her fear of failure, her view of herself being little more than a living weapon, a combination of the previous, or some unknown facet of her personality, Mio is possessed of an extraordinary focus and tenacity, combined with a nigh inexhaustible patience, which allows her to devote herself utterly to a task, which she will do her utmost to accomplish perfectly. She has displayed behavior that borders on the obsessive compulsive when it comes to accomplishing her duty.

Nunagawa Mio was created by the Ketsurui Zaibatsu in the same batch which produced her sisters Alva and Rain. Unlike her two sisters and a surprisingly high majority of her batch-sisters, Mio did not display any skills in the sciences or any skills found in the more specialized branches of the Star Army of Yamatai.

She did, however, display an almost morbid world view from the moment she began to communicate with the batch technicians and her training instructors. While her other sisters were interested in exploring the world and learning, Mio knew she was a soldier and a weapon, and focused her attention on being the best weapon that she could be.

She took to Star Army training like fuel to a bonfire. She embraced military tactics, weapon and physical training with every fiber of her being. She always did her utmost to achieve the perfect scores in every training exercise her instructors put her through, from Zero-G martial arts to long range marksmanship. Rarely did she ever smile, or even seem to enjoy anything during her training or growing up, except when she was holding a gun between her hands.

One of her fondest, and infuriating, memories is achieving a score of 298 at the advanced marksmanship course during her training. The highest in her group, but her instructors forbade her from attempting to gain a perfect 300. Those missing two points still gnaw at her.

Mio is a living, breathing, sentient creature, and as such, she's fully capable of communicating with those around her. She knows how to speak and write fluently in Trade and Yamataigo. As a graduate of the Star Army of Yamatai's training regimens, she is fully capable of using most standard issue Star Army equipment to communicate, how to fill out forms and reports, give and receive orders and intelligence under fire, etc. And as an NH-33 Nekovalkyrja, she's fully capable of communicating through telepathy.

Mio is a soldier. That is just as fundamental a fact as the laws of physics. And as a soldier, she has been trained and honed into a finely tuned killing machine. She is trained to fight in both Zero-G environments, as well as gravity equal to that of Yamatai, using both hand-to-hand combat, melee weapons such as combat knives, energy pistols, energy rifles, grenades, and Power Armour. Mio is also somewhat of a crack shot with firearms, especially rifles.

Like anyone whom received Star Army training, Mio is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, andis proficient in entering and/or searching for information. She is also capable of operating and handling most other basic Star Army equipment, such as the basic scanners.

It's perhaps surprising, but Mio is well versed in mathematics, and is quite grateful for the Star Army training, which included both trigonometry and algebra. She has even studied more in her own spare time, and finds it quite helpful to calculate the optimal shot, allowing her to factor in gravity, windage, and other factors.

As a part of her Star Army training, Mio was trained in various survival techniques, many of which are universal for almost any terrain and survival situation, including the use of the standard issue survival kit of the Star Army of Yamatai. Mio also received specialized training in how to survive in arctic, temperate, and space environments.

As an infantry soldier within the Star Army of Yamatai, Mio was trained to operate a wide array of vehicles used by the Star Army's fighting forces, from the lowly Type 30 STV to the “Troll”-class tank.

As a soldier, and an infantry soldier at that, Mio is required to keep herself in peak physical condition, and she trains constantly to keep herself in that condition. She jogs, she lifts weights, and exercises her hand-to-hand combat whenever she can.
