Yamatai Star Empire

• The Bisen Lighthouse on the surface of the planet UX-1 I is destroyed by explosives planted by a Rixxikor hit squad sent to get revenge on Hanako and the YSS Eucharis crew.
• YSS Heartbreaker makes first contact with the I'ee in the UX-HB-2 'Shekhinah' system. Several I'ee patrol craft are destroyed in defense of two I'ee ambassadors that had themselves made first contact with a lone alien.
• At the International Relations Conference of YE 38, Ketsurui Yui, argued that the Senate of Yamatai and Nepelslian Senate failed to properly ratify the Defense Arrangement Treaty (of the) Alliance of Signatory States and therefore Yamatai and Nepleslia were not members. Yamatai's senate held a session to ratify the treaty but it was voted down. Thus Yamatai left the treaty alliance.
• YSS Eucharis is taken to a Graxlat scrapyard where Rixxikor colony ships are being built. The crew kills a Rixxikor hit squad, pilots their shuttle to the scrapyard, and uses the ship to destroy it. A battle ensues in space with 2 Kuvexian Naval ships.
• YSS Sakishima discovers and takes control of a covert intelligence gathering station disguised as a deep space fueling depot within the Yugumo cluster.
• YSS Sakura II Plot returns home from the alternate dimension it had been dragged into. The crew quickly learn that they have been missing in action for over a year.
• The Star Army of Yamatai's First Expeditionary Fleet conducts an attack on a major Kuvexian Navy base.
• The Star Army of Yamatai declares war on the Interstellar Kingdom Of Kuvexia, officially starting the Kuvexian War.

• 4 years since the end of the Second Mishhuvurthyar War.
• 5 years since Battle of Yamatai.
• 8th year in the reign of Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Himiko I of Yamatai.
• 8 years since the United Outer Colonies split from Yamatai and 5 years since its dissolution.
• 8 years since the Freespacer Massacre and Related Battles.
• First contact with the Graxlat.

Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia

• A bounty is placed on Sesshoseki Tamamo and Echelon in the midst of a deep-cover Star Army Intelligence investigation into Tamamo's actions, causing damage to the Phoenix Service Group by mercenaries looking for Tamamo and Echelon's bounty. Two SAINT operatives, Sakamoto and Hirasawa Yuna intervene.
• The Phoenix Service Group prospers, growing in numbers and strength. A deal is struck with the United Manufacturing Cooperative to assist with manufacturing and distributing PSG gear outside of Nepleslia. In addition, Sargasso's influence grows too.

• The LSDF Val'ta makes its way to a system south-east of Miyamae System, investigating a strange, possibly chemical or biological disturbance on an earth-like planet on the outer edge of the Goldilocks belt.

• A well-equiped bounty hunter outfit led by Desmond Stroud starts operations on Funky City by following the money trail that started on Delsauria. As a consequence of that, some gang related activities are disrupted.

• Codebreaker Arccos, leading the recovered White Lament mothership to Freehold Factory with OSO help, attempted to salvage the great lighthouse sister unit there. The operation went afoul when encountering a secret fortress of dissidents there, but eventually prevailed, and also managed to recover components of the previously missing third StratOps computer to boot.
• While the Free State continued to flounder during this period, sub-organisations like the Viridian Array, Grand Bizarre, Astral Locksmiths and Sharavana Hive began to grow in competence, slowly becoming more relevant in the affairs of other nations once more.
