The Uesureyan War was an extended armed conflict between the restored Uesureyan Star Empire and the Mishhuvurthyar that took place in the Uesu Sector between the Second Mishhuvurthyar War and Third Mishhuvurthyar War. It began in YE 30 and is still ongoing.

During the Second Mishhuvurthyar War, Emperor of Yamatai Kitsurugi Uesu departed the Kikyo Sector in YE 30 with a massive fleet of loyal Nekovalkyrja known as the Uesu's Fleet, destroying or attacking dozens of Mishhuvurthyar starsystems along the way which all but obliterated the Mishhuvurthyar presence from that region of space. With the threat removed, the Second Mishhuvurthyar War was ended…for Yamatai. However, the Mishhuvurthyar had been preparing for a loss and had expanded into new regions of space to prevent themselves from being wiped out.

As both sides, each with limited supplies and few fixed bases, sought out new worlds, resources, and places to build manufacturing plants, shipyards, and so on, they became embroiled in a brutal war known as the Uesureyan War, which was almost totally unknown to most of Yamatai until the Battle Of Glimmergold in YE 43 at the end of the Kuvexian War, in which, due to the efforts of the YSS Heartbreaker in contacting Uesu's fleet, the Uesureyan Star Empire was able to provide a fleet of warships from the Star Army of Uesureya to the battle under Admiral Muru Parasparta. After this, Yamatai and Uesureya began coorporating against their mutual enemy, the Mishhuvurthyar.

In YE 45, the captured Uesureyan star system of Kessica was retaken by YSS Kaiyō II and Task Force 282. This was the first major joint mission against the Mishhuvurthyar between the restored Uesureyan Star Empire and the Yamatai Star Empire.
