Kiyoko was originally a NH-17 Nekovalkyrja created by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko and Koyanagi Mayumi, then adopted by Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜). She was created in the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet and was educated, trained and deployed in the Taiie System. She was accelerated through the ranks of the Star Army of Yamatai by the influence of her mother and the Motoyoshi Clan. She was promoted to Taisa and switched to the NH-29 body in YE 29.
In the same year, YE 29, she was given the command of the YSS Yugumo which was destroyed in a conflict with the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX). She was restored a short time later by her mother, Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. She continued to serve in the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet, working her up to the rank of Taisa and was given command of the Mazu Battlegroup. During this time she became in the influence of Tange Misato and began to get involved in some of the more darker areas of the Motoyoshi Clan.
Hours before the Battle of Jiyuu and the defection of the Hanabusa to the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX), Kiyoko was ordered by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko to kill Miho Hanabusa, the leader of the Hanabusa pledge family and leader of the defecting parties. She also fired shots at Tange Misato and Yuriko Towa, the reason behind which is suspected to create confusion on the part of investigators but it has never been further looked into since the initial investigation.
Several months later, her mother Taisho Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko became Empress of the Yamatai Star Empire in which Kiyoko reluctantly attended the coronation and the State of the Empire speech. Kiyoko then returned to the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet where she continued to be involved with the Tange, who were pushing for the United Outer Colonies to secede from the Yamatai Star Empire. Kiyoko found out about an offensive plan designed by Ketsurui Yui and endorsed by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko to attack a relatively low threat capable race, the Freespacers. Unable to endorse Imperial rule further, Kiyoko turned to the only help she could find, Tonsho Hanabusa, who had defected to the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX).
Kiyoko, along with her battlegroup and most of the ships aiding them from the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX), was destroyed at the Battle of the Great Lighthouse by Star Army of Yamatai forces. Kiyoko died trying to attack Ketsurui Yui's battlegroup, she was given a dishonorable mention and labeled a traitor by the Star Army of Yamatai. However back in the United Outer Colonies her death fueled the independence movement, Kiyoko was praised as a hero standing up for the innocent.
When Independence was declared, her ST data was reluctantly released by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. She has reanimated again and promoted to the rank of Admiral to serve in the United Outer Colonies Peacekeeping Forces. Kiyoko continued to hold deep anti-Yamatai Star Empire opinions and was declared a living legend for standing up for what she believed in by her supporters.
In YE 33, before the fall of the United Outer Colonies, Kiyoko and the leadership of the Tange Clan disappeared along with the Star Army of Yamatai built, Akuro III, a state-of-the-art vessel originally designed by her mother before the separation of the United Outer Colonies. Kiyoko began to conspire and find herself an ally in Angelica, a Nightmare Type Mishhuvurthyar. Together they began to explore plans to get revenge against Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko, which developed into an obsession.
Later in YE 33, Kiyoko and Angelica captured Blues Arnoul / Catharsis Black who was designed to be a copy of Kage Yaichiro, an officer in the Seventh Fleet and a known lover of Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. He was initially believed to be Kage Yaichiro, but this was discovered to be false. Believing that Blues Arnoul / Catharsis Black could still be of use, however, Blues Arnoul / Catharsis Black would spend until March of YE 34 as a prisoner of the NMX of war rather than being killed. Afterward, he was transferred to the custody of Kiyoko completely and held on the Akuro III . For the next sixty-two months, he would find himself regularly tortured and broken down. He was killed once a month in a torture session while connected to an ST device so he would remember everything, and the only meat he was permitted to eat was his previous body's expertly prepared flesh. In YE 39, she purposely allowed Blues to escape.
During this same period of time, she held and tortured her brother Motoyoshi Tio and Tange Amaya. She executed Tange Amaya and purposely allowed her brother to escape in hopes that he would return to their mother. The elaborate plan hoped that Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko would begin a campaign of revenge against her so she could lure her into a trap. Kiyoko and her Tange Clan operatives also hoped to kidnap Motoyoshi Eidan, the son of Motoyoshi Tio and Tange Amaya in hopes to perverse him into becoming a propaganda tool to increase anti-Yamatai Star Empire sentiment in the former United Outer Colonies.
In YE 39, after the start of the Kuvexian War, Kiyoko met Baron Gello Kordoon, one of the patron leaders of the Kuvexian Military and owner of the military contractor Unau Wibla Auhali. Using her manipulative and seductive ways she convinced the Baron to purchase the Akuro III after it was repaired and given a refit at one of the Kuvexian Military bases in the galactic southeast. The purchase of the vessel was actually completed in YE 41 but unknown to even her Tange Clan followers, Kiyoko had made a deal to remain in command of the ship so long as she agreed to assist the Interstellar Kingdom Of Kuvexia.
In YE 41, her mother and the Motoyoshi Clan returned to the Jiyuu System and the Outer Colonies of Yamatai. Kiyoko convinced Baron Gello Kordoon that the resource-rich systems of the former United Outer Colonies would be good target for the Kuvexian Military. In YE 42, the Kuvexian Military began their campaign by infesting the Tange System with Rixxikor.
During YE 41 and YE 42, Kiyoko made several attempts to disrupt the lives of the now united Motoyoshi Clan:
During the early stages of the Battle Of Glimmergold, the The Akuro III was spotted in the Scrapyard System. The YSS Mazu and attached escorts under the command of Taisa Motoyoshi Kaoru separated from the First Expeditionary Fleet to pursue the Akuro. 1)
In a final confrontation outside of SX-07, the YSS Mazu engaged the The Akuro III and a group of Kuvexian Military ships loyal to Baron Gello Kordoon. During the conflict the The Akuro III was disabled and Baron Gello Kordoon fled the system on his own ship, leaving Kiyoko at the mercy of the Star Army of Yamatai.
Taisa Motoyoshi Kaoru and Akamaru Datenshi boarded the The Akuro III where they engaged in an intense final psychological and dangerous game with Kiyoko. After working their way through the labyrinth of the Kuvexian modified Akuro, they reached the bridge where Kiyoko perished in the final engagement which successfully brought an end to her tyranny.2)
