Lieutenants are the most experienced bridge crew members, they are standard of skill in a Nepleslian fleet. They are awarded this rank for reliability, and full understanding of their position on the Bridge Crew. This also applies to members of the Public Relations Corps. Characters of this rank are paid 500 DA a week.
